Throughout the season, I remove clothing from our closet shelves that no longer fit, are items that we’re sick of wearing or that need to be repaired and store them in these bags. These five tips will help get you organized now, but what about preparing for the season to come? After I complete my spring closet cleaning, I hang a bag in each closet, including my kids’ closets. Now my closet is easy to navigate plus it looks clean and streamlined, which I love. I love the items available at The Container Store, which help me create the perfect closet organization system. For me, I group things together by color and type so that when I am looking for something specific I can easily find it. I know that everyone has their own organizational system for finding what they need in their closet. Right now, has great offers for Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond so you can create your own “custom” closet this spring. Also, this handy hook on the door from Target makes my scarves and belts easy to find. For example, I added shelves above my handbags to store any extra purses/bags that I may not use as often. But you don’t need a full closet system to make organization quick, simple and effective. Years ago we installed California Closets from Target and they made organization so much easier. There’s nothing like a clean closet filled with clean clothes to make everything feel fresh for spring. Before putting away my winter wardrobe items, I wash them with Cheer (get 0.75 off one Cheer Detergent 50 oz our larger) and some Unstopables In-Wash Scent Booster (get 0.50 off right now), which makes my sweaters and sweatshirts smell fresh and clean. Now that you’ve taken everything out of your closet, it’s important to put back clean clothes to do the task right. For example, I might start with my shoes first, then move onto dresses or dress clothes and then go from there. If you separate your closet organizing into sections, it is a little easier and provides a sense of accomplishment after each section is complete. Section off your closetĭividing and conquering is what I do when it comes to cleaning out my closet. I love the Shimmer scent and right now you can get 0.50 off of one Unstopables Fabric Refresher on. I also want my closet to smell fresh and clean now that winter is over, so I spray my favorite Unstopables™ Fabric Refresher with Febreze. Remove everything from your closet, wipe down all of the shelves and vacuum the floor to provide a clean slate for reorganizing. This seems like a big step, but it’s important. I’ve created some practical and fun closet cleaning hacks and tips to make organizing your wardrobe quick, easy and painless. The key to successful closet organization is maximizing space and making certain that you only keep items you will actually use. If you are anything like me, then you might already have your eye on a few spring items so it’s time to make room for your new seasonal favorites. Organizing my closet is one of my all-time favorite things to do each spring not only do I get rid of clothes that no longer fit or that I just don’t wear, I also make some room for new seasonal pieces that will inevitably make their way into my closet. This week we are back with some fun hacks to make closet cleaning a bit more fun. This spring we have partnered with to share our spring cleaning projects and how we have saved money as we organize by using their cleaning-friendly offers.
